In preparation for our In ‘Laketch Journey, we’ll be getting ourselves to the highest place we can so that we can really take advantage at the journey in seeing our other selves!

This is a very special journey for Kris & I! This summer we will be taking a group on a journey to the Mayan Caribbean and the sacred pyramid of Ek ‘Balam. It is unique for us because we will be renewing our wedding vows after the journey and journey participants are invited to stay and be a part of this ceremony! This journey is all about In ‘Laketch, meaning I am another you, or about remembering our connection to our lives, our world, our Soul. It is so easy for us to get lost in the belief that we are just physicality, just our bodies, just the things that we have or do. As we advance on our paths, however, we find that we are much more and that we are not only everything that  we see and experience, but even more. We find that we are just having an individual experience but that we are truly the whole, our Source. The ancient Mayans new this. In fact it was ingrained in their Souls to such a degree that they greet each other with In ‘Lakech, acknowledging they see not only the Divinity in themselves, but in each other…that all of live is connected to this Divinity. As you come to truly know this, you tap into the unlimited power of all of creation and you live, floating on the Universal Flow of Source where life conspires to support you. As we grow and evolve the world looks different. We see more deeply and we recognize many more truths. We find our own energy reflected back to us, we find our Source in so many places. We find the interconnectedness of it all. This journey takes you deeper in energy, in love and into a magical world of you. We will travel to Ek ‘Balam, the only pyramid site with statues of angels, a site where we previously found our connection to the divine. And now we take that connection to the divine a step further. K2’s Vow Renewal Along with the theme of this journey, we, K2, will be renewing our vows at a shamanic ceremony on the beach conducted by a local Mayan shaman. This ceremony, which takes place after the journey, will be a celebration of our 12 years of marriage; 12 years of brining our two energies together in a spiritual partnership, a marriage of the masculine and feminine flows. Participants are all invited to stay after the journey to attend and be a part of this inspiring and deeply spiritual Mayan ceremony.

We have been traveling down to this area once a year every year since our honeymoon in 1998.  At a wedding here last fall, we were inspired to renew our vows again.
This is a special area to us; we have been bringing meditation and spiritual groups to the Mexican Riviera for years and we are very excited to be inviting you to join us in our vow-renewal ceremony.
The week before our ceremony we will be leading a journey. The theme for our journey is “In la‘ketch”, meaning “I am another you”. This theme is about recognizing the interconnectedness of everything, and the love and connection that comes forward in love.

Bahia Principe Tulum Hotel

Ceremony Events-
We will be holding a celebratory cocktail hour and dinner Friday the 4th.
The vow-renewal ceremony will take place on the beach Saturday the 5th.

Our ceremony will be given by a Mayan shaman. This makes for a symbolic and spiritual ceremony that is deeply touching and beautiful.

Hotel-
Please notice that the Bahia Principe hotel is very large and made up of several smaller hotels, each with their own lobby. The hotel is on one (large) property, but you will want to choose your hotel carefully so that you are near the festivities and the party. We will be staying at the Bahia TULUM, so make sure to ask for this hotel/lobby when you call.

We highly recomend booking your hotel acomodations (and air, if you like) through Apple Vacations (www.applevacations.com – 1 800 517-2000  Apple Vacations gets great prices on packages to the Mayan Caribbean, so you are unlikely to beat the price. Additionally, they will arrange ground transportation for you from the airport  to the hotel, which can be expensive otherwise.

Of course, the Bahia Principe Tulum is a beautiful, 5 star, all-inclusive hotel. This means that your hotel cost will include your meals, drinks and non-motorized activities. The hotels in this area are very beautiful and offer many amenities, including swimming in the ocean or one of several pools. Additionally, there are a lot of excursions in the area, such as ecological parks, archeological ruins, turist towns, jungle tours and more. So, we recommend making a vacation out of your trip and enjoying the beauty of this area.

Wedding Attire-
Island comfortable! The ceremony itself will be on the beach, so shoes will be optional! Comfortable clothing, nothing too formal is required.

Please notice that you will be flying into the Cancun (CUN) airport.

What is Being in The Flow?

The flow is a beautiful, yet powerful state of being where life moves effortlessly through you. What does it mean to be in the flow? When in the flow you know the answers to life’s challenges with little effort or figuring it out. When flowing, you tap into your creative juices as the words, music or art naturally flows out of you. You may be highly productive, tapped in and turned on with little to no effort. But, perhaps most importantly, when in the flow, you experience well-being or even bliss of which happiness is a natural by-product.

Aspects of the flow state are experienced in different life arenas and are given different labels. In sports, for example, being in the flow is sometimes called being in the zone. In business, one gets into their groove and deals come naturally. In Buddhism, the state of being in flow is sometimes referred to as nirvana. When in the flow a musician becomes lost in their music. A painter becomes one with the canvas. Whether it is work, sport, conversation or hobby, when in the flow, there is often an experience of the suspension of time and complete freedom.
